About Yorkshire Women's Forum
YWF was formed during a conversation between a group of friends around an impromptu log fire, eating fried foods and getting high on mango lassi !!

We realised that by coming together we could take our current work further, and bring our new ideas to fruition.
Yorkshire Women’s Forum CIC is a social enterprise committed to supporting women through creative workshops and sustainability-focused projects.
Our aim is to enable women in Yorkshire to nurture their mental health and wellbeing through creativity and camaraderie. We will bring together communities and facilitate personal growth, whilst fostering environmental responsibility through sustainable practices such as upcycling household items and fabrics, organic horticulture and reconnecting to nature.
Research shows that learning new skills is conducive to mental wellbeing, can increase self-confidence and enable individuals to build a sense of purpose.
We aim to provide safe spaces, where women can share feelings, seek advice, and discuss topics they may otherwise lack confidence in doing. By convening in pursuit of a skill or activity, women of different ages, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences are brought together to share their insights and perspectives with one another.
The women we are working with are learning skills that can be cultivated into lifelong hobbies and even small businesses.
